Shell currently operates in the downstream sector in Indonesia and is recognized as a leading player in the lubricants industry, serving both automotive and industrial markets. In 2015, Shell launched operations at its Lubricants Oil Blending Plant (LOBP) in Marunda, Bekasi, with an initial production capacity of 136 million liters per year. In November 2022, the company successfully expanded the plant’s capacity to 300 million liters annually. The facility is the largest internationally operated lubricant blending plant in Indonesia.
